All are Welcome
to Our Church
Union United Methodist Church affirms Jesus' example and teaching to love God and love others as you love yourself. Therefore, we celebrate our diversity and recognize the sacred worth and dignity of all persons regardless of race, age, culture, sexual orientation, gender identity, economic status, family configuration, and difference in ability.
Union United Methodist Church is a supportive community in Christ that has a rich heritage of community service and family friendly ministries. Committed to reaching out with a welcome to all in the name of Christ, this is a place to reflect, grow, and support one another on the journey. Our family of faith understands that we are called to serve our Lord and our neighbors. We would be blessed to welcome you to Union.
HistoryUnion United Methodist Church has a fascinating history that begins in Brookline in 1916 in an abandoned schoolhouse but has roots that go back to 1740 involving five cornerstones and connections to Benjamin Franklin.
The Purpose of our Youth Ministry for children (up to Grade 5) and youth (6th – 12th Grade) is to provide ministries in four areas:
Specifically: It is our overall goal to help children and youth know that they are special, loved by God and God's Family. We are providing ways to involve them in worship, participating as acolytes, choir members, lay readers, and other parts of worship to help children and youth to grow in grace and service.
Each Third Saturday of the month is dedicated to Children's Ministries – field trip or fun activity such as bowling, a hayride or an event at church with games, story, craft, and healthy snacks. All children through Grade 5 are welcome!
They hold their evening meetings weekly. All youth in Grades 6-12, are most welcome! Special activities, including service projects and fellowship events with other area Youth Groups are held throughout the year.
